PRIMARY PURPOSE

Responsible for designing and delivering solutions for business systems including ERP systems, from conceptual design through implementation, testing, deployment and continuous improvement.                                                                                    

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

Business Systems Optimization and Support

• Design and customize business solutions to meet specific business requirements
•  Identify and document areas for improvement in business processes, providing recommendations for optimizing business systems and IT solutions
• Support and implement business process improvement initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with organizational goals and increase operational efficiency
• Monitor and assess the performance of business and integration systems, ensuring optimal uptime and system reliability across the organization
• Oversee relevant routine maintenance, upgrades, and updates, ensuring systems are up to date and meeting the business needs effectively.
• Ensure seamless integration of various subsystems and components
• Identify, diagnose and resolve technical system inefficiencies and errors or issues within the scope of the application system promptly, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Escalate complex technical issues to external service providers in a timely manner, ensuring swift resolution.
• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive documentation for solutions and systems
• Support the planning and execution of system upgrades, ensuring that they meet the business requirements and are completed on schedule.
• Coordinate and support the implementation of system enhancements, ensuring high availability, minimal disruption and seamless integration with existing processes.
• Maintain the day-to-day operations of systems upgrades and enhancements with strong attention to detail to ensure the quality and reliability of system solutions

• Write clean, efficient, and high-quality code that meets business requirements and adheres to best practices.
• Ensure secure and seamless integration of various systems, subsystems and components
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of code, ensuring functionality, reliability, and alignment with business needs.
• Responsible for designing newly identified solutions, support and enhance the redesign of current solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to create innovative solutions that align with business requirements and best practices.
• Design and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations presenting prototypes to stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility and gathering feedback for refinement.
• Support and continuously improve the data ecosystem to enhance performance, ensure redundancy, and improve maintainability

  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS   

• NQF Level Seven (7) Qualification – Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Five (5) years extensive hands-on experience with supporting business systems within an organisation.
• Exposure to Acumatica, Cargowise or any other ERP systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages, project management skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Skilled in SQL Database Administration.
  

• Certifications in AWS, Azure
• Valid Driver's license.
