Primary Purpose:
Responsible for all aspects of maintenance of the vessel as well as assisting the Skipper in safely operating the vessel.

Key Performance Areas: 

Operational Efficiency
• Vessels to be cleaned
• Fill vessel fuel tanks in addition to two extra tanks on board
• Assist Skipper/Master in ensuring Safety of passengers, cargo & Launch Vessel whilst out at sea.
• Inspect inventory of all equipment onboard and report any missing equipment immediately

Safety & Compliance
• Maintain all safety signage
• Report any safety problems report to skipper
• Inspect all equipment onboard and report any problems immediately
• Inspect mooring ropes and report any damages immediately
• Inform the Operations Manager or Skipper if any PPE or safety equipment needs replacing

Job Requirements:

Education: • NQF Level Two (2) Qualification (Grade 10).

Work Experience: • One (1) Year experience in the position of Deck Hand.

Other Requirements: • Good knowledge & understanding of OHSE systems and the requirements.
