Job Description

Primary Purpose:
Implement and coordinate risk and compliance processes to ensure operations comply with legal, regulatory, and internal standards, while supporting risk mitigation and maintaining governance integrity.

Key Performance Areas:
Operational Cost Optimisation
  • Assist in preparing and analysing forecasts and budgets, including cost projections and variance analysis.
  • Review monthly financial reports and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify cost trends and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with operations and procurement to validate landed costs and maintain accurate cost structures.
Financial Risk and Operational Risk
  • Apply controls to mitigate risks in stock handling, credit checks, asset use, and foreign currency transactions.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through regular reconciliations and reporting.
  • Support contract and tender reviews for financial accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Track Service Level Agreements and contracts to ensure adherence to standards and regulatory requirements.
Governance and Regulatory Compliance
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls aligned with governance frameworks.
  • Prepare documentation for audits and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
  • Maintain the quality management system and integrate ISO standards within the area of responsibility.
Job Requirements
  • NQF Level Six (6) Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, Auditing or related field.
Work Experience:
  • Minimum Five (5) years of hands-on experience in risk management, compliance, or related fields.
  • Proficient in accounting system (Acumatica).
  • Proficient in MS packages (Excel and Word, PowerPoint).
  • Good knowledge & understanding of OHSE systems and the requirement.
