Job Description
Primary Purpose:
Responsible for driving revenue growth and profitability by acquiring new customers and building strong, long‑term client relationships within Woker Freight Services.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Drive new business acquisition and expand the client base locally, nationally, and regionally.
- Build and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships to support retention and growth.
- Manage the sales pipeline and deliver sustainable revenue and margin growth.
- Provide commercial oversight of the customer journey in collaboration with operations.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Analyse pricing, costs, margins, and profitability and provide improvement recommendations.
- Own and maintain accurate CRM data and commercial reporting.
- Provide input into commercial contracts, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF-Level 7) in Business Management, Commerce, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in Sales and Marketing Management with proven growth results.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a senior or middle‑management commercial role.
- Operational experience in Logistics is required.
- With operational experience in logistics in the Southern African region being a distinct advantage.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship‑management skills.
- Commercial and financial acumen with experience in margin management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems.
- Valid Driver’s License.
