Primary Purpose
To perform full freight coordination functions, ensure efficient and cost‑effective service delivery, and provide operational guidance and support to junior staff, without direct line‑management responsibility.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate end‑to‑end shipment execution, including transport, cargo handling, customs clearance coordination, and service provider liaison
• Manage complex shipments and monitor progress to ensure uninterrupted service delivery
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely shipment documentation
• Resolve operational issues proactively and identify execution risks
• Deliver services in line with agreed service standards, timelines, and client instructions
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade requirements, Incoterms, and internal procedures
• Accurately process shipments in CargoWise (or similar ERP systems) and maintain data integrity
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for review and approval
• Ensure correct cost capture and support invoice verification
• Maintain professional communication with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance and support to coordinators, junior staff, trainees, and students
• Act as a technical escalation point for standard operational issues and support workflow continuity
• Uphold company values, ethical conduct, and governance discipline

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain / Freight Forwarding / Transport Management
• OR Grade 12 with a minimum of five (5) years relevant Clearing and Forwarding experience
• At least five (5) years’ experience in freight forwarding or clearing and forwarding coordination
• Any one of these certifications will be an advantage: FIATA Certification, CargoWise accreditation, Customs or Trade Compliance training, and/or Dangerous Goods
• Experience in handling complex shipments
• Exposure to costing, quotations, and job file management
• Working knowledge of customs processes and trade compliance
• Competence in CargoWise (or similar ERP system)
• Strong attention to detail, documentation control, and administrative accuracy
